I've done a good amount of searching on the topic and there is most definitely a lot of information but god damn I really can't understand it. My basic question/ needed help is this:
I shoot with a T2i at 720p/60fps. Up until now I've been bringing that footage straight into my editing software (SonyVegasPro10) and going at it with my composition setup with matching settings to the footage (720p/60fps). When I have completed my editing and CC, which is all done in Vegas I render my video as a h.264 file at 1280x720 / 30fps. So would this be my compression? Is this taking away quality of the video since I'm not compressing it to 30fps prior to editing?
I have recently downloaded MPEG_Streamclip for compression. Is it wise to bring my clips into that and export them as h.264 files @ 1280x720 (HDTV 30p) @ 30fps prior to bringing them into Vegas? Will this effect any clips that I slow down or will it be identical to slowing down the clips as before when I just brought the raw 720p/60fps clips into Vegas?
Sorry if this is confusing/amateur/annoying I just want to get my shit straight! Thanks in advance for any help/feedback.
