I take my car to Can tire and they say they will get on it. this is at 9:46am. i go out to breaky with my family after that to pass some time, then go for a walk, i get back to can tire at 10:22 and wait in the waiting room and read my book (clash of kings, good book)
roughly an hour and a half later he calls me in and says its done but they noticed my serp belt was severly cracked, so i deliberated for a while and figured ok if it needs to be done do it. the guy mutters it will be about 45 minutes after i asked him how long the procedure takes for the third time. an hour and and 15 minutes after i was told that i went in to ask why it wasnt done, as i walk into the main room with the desk i look through the window into the garage to see if i can see them working on my car, i see my car with no one working on it, and i also see that my trunk is open, relatively normal stuff to see when they are working on your car, what is not normal is to see the mechanics riding around on my bmx (i have sunk over 1500 into that bike) that i left in the car trying to learn to fakie and then passing it off to the next mech for a ride.
at this point i was steaming mad so i yelled at the guy manning the front desk and after i saw that they scurried off after being caught i went and sat in a handy dandy calming garden about two blocks down the road.
i walk back after taking a short detour to starbuckles and wait in the waiting room. About 4:24pm i get called back in from the waiting room and given my bill, the guy who i yelled at earlier who promised me compensation was off shift and the guy at the register told me he didnt know or hear anything so he would call me the next day and basically tried to get me to pay and fuck off.
I cooly said "no" explained that the service was unsatisfactory and that he could deal with my dad. my dad came after i called and explained the situation, started collecting names and then explained that he would send them to the top and see if they could help our situation, the mechanic tried to bs his way out at first saying the bike had to be taken out so it didnt tip the car over on the lift but he had his wallet out in a heartbeat and the guy who tried to shortchange me earlier took back the other guys wallet and gave me his signature on a free oil change certificate.
i had to promise no names and to not tell everyone. but i figure no one knows the branch so its fine to retell the tale..
anyways i just thought i would share my exciting sunday with everyone.
