k im pretty desperate, i'm looking to make an edit and im trying to get final cut pro. Anyone that has a good torrent link would be much appreciated (is it important to get fcp 7 or could i manage for something like fcp 5?
Also, how do i convert my files to Apple Pro Res, i've tried using MPEG streamclip and it doesn't show up on the export option.
Last question, i tried installing a version of Final cut earlier and everytime i tried to import a clip it would say "File Error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied , 1 unknown"- ANYONE THAT CAN HELP WITH THIS GETS karma because it's super frustrating! thanks!

you have to have final cut to be able to export to prores. the pirate bay has plenty of good torrents, cant post a link from my phone but just look around. if you really can't get it try apple intermediate codec

there are two ways I use.
First, if it's only one clip.... Open your file in Mpeg, File, export to quicktime it opens a menu, click the dropdown, select any of the Apple Pro Res options (I use 422 HQ), drag the quality bar up to 100 percent, click OK or Save, then name your file and pick a destination.
With multiple clips don't open mpeg with your file go to List, Batch List, Add Files, Export to quicktime, same steps as above, and BAM it will process, and pro res your whole list.
