I liked a few dubstep songs, then heard "Cinema" and "In for the Kill." My small group of friends were the only people who listened to dubstep that I knew of, then it exploded when he held a concert in Hartford and everyone wanted to go. I still get called a poser for liking Skrillex, but I like his music. Enough said.

Yeah I rarely even listen to dubstep anymore.  I don't listen to much in the electronic genre as a whole either anymore.  Getting back into music that actually means something and isn't computer generated

As said earlier... are they really your friends? Or just acquaintances? Why not just remove them from your feed, or even from your friends if they bother you so much instead of bitching about them on NS without even concealing their names? Or is it too much of social status drop to have a couple of "friends" less?

Anyway, Ryan is now easily friendable for everyone of us and anyone could send a message along to him about this thread to show what a sad person you are.

I enjoyed Dubstep Originals like Benga, Caspa, and Skream before it got super popular, I still enjoy it but it fucking sucks when I'm at a party or somewhere an someone mentions dubstep, and there is some fucker who immediately says "Skrillex", and these people tend to go on an on about how much they love dubstep when skrillex doesn't even fit in that fucking category of music anymore. But then will argue about this shit for hours about how he is dubstep, when their music knowledge goes about as far back as "Skrillex made these songs, he only invited Benny Benassi, Nero, Bare, etc cause he wanted them to get popular like him in dubstep" or some illogical shit like that. Those are the people of the dubstep community (if I must even say they are part of it) that piss me the fuck off.

I liked Sonny Moore before he went under the name Skrillex, even his early stuff under the name Skrillex was still okay... But he has pretty much changed what dubstep is viewed as, he came in under the genre dubstep in his name (an people assume he still is) then blew up all big among all the College/Lax Bros... an now his music doesn't even fit in dubstep, its brostep or more of a glitchstep...

I don't like Brostep or the crowd it attracts, but its something I had to deal with at Bisco unfortunately, thankfully all the bros were out giving hand jobs to one another when bassnectar, nero, 12th planet, prettylights, disco buscuits, paper diamonds, and many more good people were on... or they just came for that one night idk?...
