I want to go to school where there are good mountains close buy. I would like to stay in NE, but I would also like to go to the mid west. Where should I go?
this
15 from waterville 20 from loon and 25 from cannon and like 30-45 away from plenty of other mtns. and a good party school. plus they have a wide variety of majors and tons of minors
Do you want to know what grinds my gears? When people are like "oh it's a good party school. That's why I'm going". Basically any school you choose is going to have parties soo...... Sorry Mike didn't mean to pick on you I just hate it.
Well some schools certainly do party harder than others. But if that's why you chose the school you go to you have just gone full retard. And wasted a shit ton of money.
if im not mistaken its a top 10 party school and top 10 ski school in the US
and devin im just putting some facts out there. some schools r just better party schools than others. shouldnt base your decision on it at all, unless your just straight up dumb.
I went to Lyndon state and lived on Burke mountain. Only ten mins from school. also got my degree in ski resort management. Which wa legit. Great place to spend four years def at least look at it. Only an hour from Burlington too and it's like 30k a year less than uvm lol. north east Vermont!
Sugarbush and Mad River Glen are 40 min away, and Bolton is smaller, but closer, about 30 min. There's some great deals like the Triple Major for college students that can get you a huge discount on 3 resorts. Sugarbush also has a new discount for 20 year olds, check it out in SkierX's thread https://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/readthread/thread_id/638337/
No offense, but how smart are ya? If your looking for a school a bit better than PSU (once again no offense) theres Bates Bowdoin and Colby in Maine...
but if ur looking for a school like plymouth state, plymouth state is perfict for you. tons of skiing, tons of majors, and just a great vibe, i know u will make it what you will, but psu has a great vibe imao
If your top two priorities are skiing and having fun PSU or UVM/Champlain. I dont think anything else in NE compares. On that note would you rather be at Loon/Waterville or Stowe/Sugarbush?
Is ski resort management really a legit degree? I've been looking into Lyndon and Colorado Mountain College. I got real scared when I saw an old thread that said some kid got kicked out of CMC for having a sploof
i doubt they got kicked out for a sploof....if your going for ski resort management just skip that and go for a marketing or general business degree. Probably will learn a lot more and be more marketable for a job.
