CoreUPT skis thoughts?

So i always love to see new companies emerge in the ski industry and i think coreupt will be sick that there now signing big names in the us! What are your thoughts on the new company? and also i though tj was with nordica skis why does he have a pro model with coreupt?

tj uses nordica boots and coreupt skis, coreupt isnt exactly a small new company, they;ve been around for a long time and theyve always had some bigname skiers especially from europe like candidde

Good morning chedderhead thoughts on gear and skis may fit better in gear talk.

My thoughts are they are pretty much crappy rebadged dynastars, but they manage to get them on pros feet and this will translate to sales from people who need to ski what their favorite pro skis

They are great, there is a reason that they are the number one selling ski in France and second selling ski in most of Europe

correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think coreupt is being produced under dynastar anymore ... since 2009/2010 ? they moved to a different (chinese?) factory and now (strange enough) the durability issues on most of their skis seem to have been resolved .....

i just got my candide yards so i can't say about the durability but they are very light and the 171 i ordered are the same height as my dads 167 fishcers which is a good thing in my case because im short

ok, apparently this :)

+ the coreupt ski length measurements are accurate altough you must realize that the actual running surface of the skis runs a bit short because coreupt has a tendency to put quite big tips and tails on their skis, so don't be afraid to go a size bigger....

yes this is very true my tjs actually have a bit of early rise too em, there skis are super durable and excellent ski my favorite ski in the park by far. i made a review on em too

Where did you hear that little piece of information. Can you point me to the source as there is simply no way that is true. Are you really trying to tell me that CoreUPT sell more skis in france then say Salomon, Rossingol or Dynastar?

My bad did know they were no longer repackaged dynastars.

I skid a pair at thr isia demo @ wp a couple seasons ago. Pretty meh for me but coming off a couple killer runs on a high$$$ carbon fibered dps rp112 kind of expected that and thankfully Im in a position were cheap isnt what I want in my gear. Arent pretty much every ski hand laid up or made? Do you have like fat frogs that lay on them instead of presses or in some other way be more hand made?

thanks for the info and Im sure you will find a niche in the cheap im gonna buy what my favorite pro buys youth market.

I could have sworn I saw or read an interview were the founder came off as a tool but all my brain cells are no longer firing on all cylinders and I could be confusing corupt with boone

Oh biggest FREESKI brand in france, that I could mabye understand, tradionaly it was hard to find good freestyle skis in europe so yeah I could see CoreUPT could be doing ok. Its interesting to see though that the UK, which has always had a great selection of skis does not even appear on the list. I did think it was very very unlickly that CoreUPT was the biggest selling ski brand in France, but biggest selling Freeski brand is possible, as its still such a small percentage of overall sales.

still maybe it's because i don't pay much attention to other people's skis, or ski smaller resorts, but i have only seen maybe 1 or 2 pair of coreupts in real life on the slopes .....

So my last skis where a 170 and I just received my 183 tjs from coreupt. Looking at them and kinda standing on them I think wow these are huge (even though I was originally going to get 177s) I'm about 6ft tall and 150 pounds? Are these way too big? Either way they're sweet though haha

Ya they're center mounted. It may just be because I'm used to a much smaller ski. But I was just wondering if it should be a concern

Dont worry dude... im 5'9 145lb and my 2 sticks are a 188 bluehouse monarch (...seems big in really tight E.C. glades...or tight bumps).. and i just ordered 173 TJs... you should be good with the 183s.. short skis suck long skis truck
