Quick Question On Sir Francis Bacons

OK So I'm getting my first powder stick this year and I would like to get some bacons. I am 5'6 but growing quick. Do you think I could handle a 178? Or should I rock the 172? I want a ski I can keep for a while, but I also want to be able to control them in tree runs, ect. I currently ride 166 afterbangs.

Dude Measure out 6cm. Thats not that much at all I would go with the 178. I weigh 125pounds, had last years 172 bacons and wish I would have gotten them in a biger size. Too Me It feels like that little difference in size comes down to skiing ability.

I was in the same predicament last september, unfortunately I got the 172, now there too small, go 178.

Alright now that you have your answer (178 for sure) Can I steal this thread and ask, can you use sfb as an all mountain (park to pow) ski?

I found them really versatile (last season's model). I used them on hardback in the park and for the deep stuff. They will suck ass if it's shear ice your skiing on. So, anything but ice I found them to be awesome. In the pow in trees they shut down speed soooo fast. They were great.

Yeah dude I rode last years SFR for everything....sucks cause I didn't actually realize just how versatile they were till halfway through the season....the 12s look even more versatile with the new sidecut....and that width underfoot is so stable on boxes it's almost like cheating...haha

The 2012 SFB may be the most versatile ski I have skied in a long time.  The shape is a bit more narrow than the previous years but it keeps the near symmetrical shape and true symmetrical flex so it rails turns, is solid in the park, and killer everywhere else.

That's got all the stats and a good description, but hop on them fast cause we already have already almost sold out of our re-order and from what I hear they are selling out quickly everywhere.
