Amtrak question...never been before

taking the amtrak train from stamford ct, to kingston ri to catch a ferry to marthas vineyard. Anyone know how the train is compared to the ny metro north trains about drinking ont he train and bringing your own alcahol? I will be traveling alone and dont plan on getting ham beaned...just like a 6 pack fo some quality brews for the train and ferry. Anyone know how chill amtrak is with this. I know you can drink whatever on the trains into nyc. But im only 20 so obviously under age

Probably wouldn't do it.
I was drinking on the train the other day and nobody batted an eye. You can bring it, you can drink it, but what's the point?

Don't worry aboot it; no one is going to question you. I take the train from Philly to NYC a lot and people openly drink all the time. Just don't be sketch aboot it.
