Hey guys,
I am heading out to Fiji at the end of the month and I was wondering if anyone on here knows of any places that rent water housings and lens ports. I have looked at borrowlenses.com and they have the body housing and one for my fisheye but I need ones for:
Sigma 10mm f/2.8 Fisheye
Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II
Canon 24-105 f/4L IS
Thanks for any help!

Just curious, but what are you shooting with a 70-200 in a housing? Med distance surf from the water?

borrowlenses.com
never used them but they do have housings of all sorts and they are legit.

On G+ Dan Carr was actually talking about how that's one of the most unprofessional things an aspiring photog can do.

what, have your own email address at your own web address?
so long as it's not Whoever@Awesomenamephotostuiosworldwide.com I definitely disagree with that.

looked it up because I was curious:
"A quick little tip today for all those photographers out there starting out in the business. I won't name names but I just saw this happen so reminded me to post about it. Get yourself a proper e-mail address ! YourName187@hotmail.com is NOT an address that a potential client will take seriously. You always want to project a professional nature, even if it's day 1 of your business. You can get a proper web domain and an e-mail account set up in minutes for $25 a year. I recommend Hover.com to get your set up."
He's saying that using hotmail or gmail is unprofessional; and therefore it's important to have your own domain and an email address linked to it.
So Riley@sileysnyderphoto is better than rileysniderphoto@gmail for example.

Where are your stops along the way? I would probably try LA or Hawaii for a rental.

My bad, I wrote that wrong, I was trying to approve of your proposal of riley@rileysnyderphoto rather than rileysnyderphoto@gmail.com. My bad.

I was obviously being sarcastic, given that riley is a professional photographer, him using a gopro for a professional photoshoot would be ludicrous. You're an idiot for believing that I would actually suggest that a professional photographer use a go pro.
But I am impressed with you're ability to decipher my username, or just look in my sig.

I guess I technically have that option with all my hosting and such but I had this email first and didn't find it necessary to change it up, maybe its time for both? And yes Mike, I am obviously bringing my GoPro for fun! As far as the question about long lens and the housing, I want to make sure my investment in glass is covered and it produces some of my best images. (probably will be shooting from the boat with that lens but who knows what I will get into/have the option to do)

Sorry for double post
The plan is actually SLC -> SFO (2 days) -> LAX (5 hour layover)-> Tavarua (About a week) -> HI (about a month)
don't think 5 hours will be enough to rent a housing and still make the flight with security (and searches because of my massive amounts of gear and dreads to boot). Gonna call up borrowlenses tomorrow and actually talk with someone there to see my options.

Lighthaus Cameras in Hawaii has them I'm pretty sure. Depending what island your on it'll be easy to find them. I was on Maui and they had them.
