i just sold my line skis the anthems, and im looking for something new(preferably a park ski).. ive been hearing some good things and bad things about on3p. Im looking to get the "filthy rich" which replaces the "bluesteele" which was the ski used mainly for park last year and im sure a good handful of you newschoolers already knew.. i just need some help and if you have anything against on3p give me your reasons and suggest a different brand

I've heard they're super legit, and have super bombproof construction and customer service. Also, the new eliptical sidecut looks sweet on the filthy riches - basically the harder you lay them over, the tighter turn they carve, which sounds sweet for carving off lips. I'd get some, but I don't have enough money this season, and I just bought some pro pipes. Hey, $190 is an unresistable deal....

On3p is beyond legit. Rowen and Scott (and everyone else) are great guys, and their skis are bombproof. After taking a peek at the factory recently, I can say that your skis are certainly built with love and affection. Definitely a brand I'm going to be supporting.

I know this isn't about the ski specifically but I was in the same stand point as you. I ended up deciding to talk to On3p or should I say Ginko and he pretty much gave me in depth details of the Filthy Riches and pretty much helped me and guided me on my ski buying experience. Overall they are an amazing company and will have my business for a long time!

Haha and you haven't even skiied them yet. Wait til you do, the product is so good it's initially unbelievable, until you stop and think "actually this was handmade by people who do exactly what I do and love it and know exactly what I would want because they want it too". Then it's not unbelievable at all and it makes perfect sense.

I for one will only buy On3p skis from now on, period.

The most desirable ski I've ever seen. For all I care they could be made out of cardboard and have tinfoil bindings mounted on them.

I have honestly heard only great things about them. I don't own any of their skis, but seeing the amount of praise for them on here and how close they are with the community should make you trust them!

i heard that the "blue steele" wasn't just decomissioned, it was excommunicated. they actually have a written letter from the pope stating so. and every filthy rich has $50 worth of cadmium in it.

Being from portland, I have nothing but love for on3p. I have only demoed, but they're awesome skis. They're made by awesome people, who settle for nothing short of flawless. The fact they just let any locals walk in and demo sets the standard for good customer service.

My 09/10 Caylors are my pride and joy. They are by far the best thing I've ever skied on and they are fucking indestructible. I also ordered some Jeronimos a few weeks ago so it looks like I'll be rocking a strictly on3p quiver next year and I couldn't be more stoked

Filthy riches are the tests. Such a fun park ski super poppy and turny wuoch inlove. Hit a big nc booter on them too and they charged that inrun like no ones business

And where did you hear bad things about ON3P op? All I've ever heard are good things about them. They're like the complete opposite of suspects/boones in terms of their image on newschoolers.

Amazing group of guys that put their heart and soul into each ski, all their skis are bomb proof demoed majority of them, probably buying a pair this year.

any of their skis are great I would hit them up and ask them personally which one fits you the best.

Could you describe the new sidecut on the filthy riches a little more and how they ski? Like does it ski like a straight ski unless you edge really hard? And does that limit it all mountain at all compared to a normal symmetrical ski?

Could you ballpark the turning radius on them for a wide GS turn and a very tight turn? Ive heard somewhere its in the 19-17m range?

Also how does the rocker/early rise compare with say the armada halo/alphas?

Sure dude!

The sidecut is an elliptical curve, which gets tighter in the rocker sections - 19m underfoot to 17m in the rockered areas of the sidecut. This allows the ski to feel pretty stable when you're going straight, but allows you to get contact in the rockered sections when you heel the ski over onto an edge - the ski wants to carve and turn more the more you turn it over. Compared to the Blue Steele (our previous park ski), its way better for carving off jump lips (something our team asked for).

The diagrams on our website showing rocker and camber are accurate, to scale actually - giving stats on rocker length and height really doesnt work anymore since the tip and rocker is now just one smooth elliptical curve, but you have about 100cm of contact area in a 181, the rest is up off the snow.

If your buddy is Drew Stewart, he was riding our factory demo pair, which was a blem, had some issues with the press on that set. Not only did we fix the one time pressure issue, but we also changed the construction around the meet between the core and tip spacer on the next years skis, just to further strengthen that area.
