Skis for next Season!

Ok guys need some help with pickin out skis for this season. im about 6ft tall and 140 pounds. i ski about 75% park and 25% groomers on the east coast. i like a medium flex ski that has pretty good durability and a low swing weight. well heres what ive been looking at so far: Armada Ar7, moment reno jibs, line mastermind, the surface skullcandy no time, the coreUPT tj pro, and any others you guys could suggest. thanks guys +K for help!!

surface skullcandy no times is what i personally picked for next season. I had no times last season and 9 lifes the year before and couldn't be more pleased with surface skis!

Coreupt TJ's are sweet. I also like the reno jibs, however, I have heard of the delaminating.

The reno jibs are most likely too stiff for him since he wants a medium flex.

actually ive tried last years renos and i feel they were actually just on the brim of stiff and a medium flex, i threw em in cause i actually liked em because i really actually liked their feel regardless, ive never had a chance to see their durability though

Really? Armadas are regarded as some of the most durable skis out there right now. I've only heard good things about them

yeah i just heard of some cases of ar7s delaming but only from a few people but yeah armadas are nice

The Ar7 is one of my fav all round skis, they carve well, can ride some powder and have a reasnably soft flex for park. Durability wise there fine. I had a set of AR6's completly expolde on me, full sidewall blowout and edges all over, but there easy to fix, and I got another year out of them after fixxing them. There is no ski out there that can ride rails hard for a whole season and not have some damage. I had T-Halls last season and they faired as well as my suspects.  Edge cracks, scuffed top sheets the usual. So yeah there good skis but like any other ski on the market they may well get trashed through hard use.

Honestly it was on teh first day of use, The sidewalls blew out and the edge pulled away from the core on both skis. But as its a full sidewall ski its easy to fix. I rebuilt them and they held well. I had to rebuild them about 2 more times but they were my fav park ski of all time so I was not to bothered. Also I did not pay for them, if I did I may be more annoyed. Just proves though any ski will break if ridden hard.

Yeah I should really have let the edges wear in a bit first before hitting rails hard on the first day. It happens to all skis though, I have never had a ski I deont think that I have not had to rebuild at least once, other then powder skis of course. I love the armada skis though, ski supper nicly and are as durabloe as anything else on teh market today. Ill only ski salomon and armada now.

I am a fan of Line and Volkl so the masterminds are ok but for the park i would recomend the afterbangs. Also from vokl i would recomend the wall or the ledges.

Not durable.. My friend broke 3 pairs in 3 weeks. And he didnt do anything dumb in them. He didnt even ride them hard. Well except for 1 pair.

If I was you, at this pont I would go out and demo the skis you are interested in. Everyone skis differntly and the only way you will find what suits you is skiing it. People are pretty biased here to, if there freind of a friend had a ski which an edge fell out of, that makes it the worst ski ever, even though the ski could actually be amazing and the edge would have fallen out of any ski. Most shops demo new skis, its the only real way to find out if "you" like a ski.

As for your durability questions, all skis will break skiing park, it could be on the first day, could be 2 years down the line. The inportant thing I think is to buy a full sidewall ski, so if something does go wrong, you can have a shop rebuild the skis for you. You cant really rebuild a sndwhich ski so stick to full sidewall.
