i need a review on these bindings!!

There a great all round binding. Most people realisticly only need a 12 Din binding. They hold well, slightly more movement then some other brands but still good. Slightly heavy for a non full metal binding, I have seen a few break but the same could be said for any binding. All I would say is, when they do brake its not a cheap and easy fix like some other bindings. Overall though there good.

Honestly, PX 12s are pretty solid. As long as you're not hucking any 80 footers, you should be fine. The one thing is that they aren't very light, but an overall legit binding.

Being heavy and being durable is nesacerily the same thing. There a fairly hard wearing binding, but as I said the tabs which go into the metal heel track are plastic, but for urban this will not be a huge issue. Your more lickly to break the heel piece in a fast twisting fall. Its very unlickly you will do this doing urban stuff. Of course you could be unlucky. Other bindings to look at are STH 12 Driver, Marker Griffon and Head Peak 12.

I've been on the Look PX12 for a few seasons on my all-mountain boards. They've given me no troubles during that time. They can be found at a GREAT price, and have good retention and reliable release. That's really all I ask for in an alpine binding.

I mount all my skis with px12's, and I've been using the same pair for 4 seasons already, and I plan on mounting that same pair on my new skis. Very solid bindings, and at a good price

personally i've got them on 2 pair of parkskis and they're honestly not my favourite binding, perhaps because that they're kind of worn out and i need to pull the heelpiece up to snap into them, or maybe the looks, i dunno....

but i do know they've properly released on numerous occasions, they've been through hell and back and still work fine (except for the minor worn down heelpiece thats annoying to snap into) i've never ever broken a brake on these babies, and i bought them second hand with a brake missing and just went into the first skishop i found and they had a bag full of px brakes so they''re very common and finding replacement parts is also quite easy ....

they're a cheap undervalued binding that's honestly worth a lot more than what you pay for....

The heel-piece issue you refer to is something that is par for the course with pretty much every Look/Rossi dildo-style binding. it happened on the old Look Pivots, and turntables, and continued with the PX series. I think the main root cause is wear on the heel of the boot as opposed to the binding itself.

so if i get you correct, i shouldn't be having this problem with new boots?
cause honestly it remained unchanged even tough i got new boots this season,

or do you mean that the dildo bindings heelpieces wear out while instead it should be the boot that gets worn out ?

i'm kinda confused by what you just wrote :)

Hmmm... My experience were that the boot's heel was worn and that prevented it from closing the binding without pulling the heel. New boots alleviated the issue for me, and then it returned as the heel wore.

It was annoying at first, but became something I was used to doing - Like loosening my in-step buckle on my Krypton boots while riding lifts.

I've had a toe piece and a heel piece explode on me, like literally explode into 50 pieces, and have broken probably 6 brakes in 3 years. I'm tired of them and this season I'm going with salomon sth 14 drivers.

I've had problems with Rossi / Look bindings - controversially with the toepieces. It's a very minor point but I've had the toepieces on 3 pairs (I used to be on the Rossi UK team) release on me when I didn't want them to. All when setting blindside spins it would just release my boot out the side. Happened with two sets of boots which both had minimal wear. I think it was something to do with riding rougher rails as it mainly happened on this corrugated (/ribbed) black gas pipe we ride all the time - I dont think it likes the vibration. It also happened on a wooden rail and a canon pipe - the canon pipe made me vow to never ride them again - went to set a blind 4 and the binding released out the side as i popped, throwing me off balance and meaning i dropped 15ft to ice straight on my neck.

I dont rate marker jesters or griffons. I've found the heel pieces release when landing big shit switch, and the toepieces snap at the join real easy.

My personal favourite is the Head / Tyrolia Mojo / Peak 15. Have two sets and they rarely fail me. I hear STH16's are pretty decent as well (a lot of my mates ride em)
