Oppinions on Armada ARV, Liberty Morphic, and...

Hey, first post here.  I am trying to decide what skis I should buy for this coming season.  Last season I rode a pair of borrowed Line Prophet flites and they seemed pretty good.

I have been looking at Armada ARV's and Liberty Morphics' for this coming season as they both sound like good one ski quivers that do well in the north east hard pack as well as are ok for running through the park.  I like to hit jumps but rails are not my thing.

Any experience with either of these two skis?

Or maybe just pick up a pair of Punx to beat around plus another ski...

Own the ARVs and personally love them. Definitely a ski that rips around everywhere, including the occasional pow that isn't too deep. If your gonna take them through the park alot then mount them more forward then FR line. Not the best switch riding ski, but I learned just fine on them.

and they are super durable. i had mine for like 3 seasons and beat the shit out of them skiing over/landing on rocks and riding rails as well. perfect one ski quiver in my opinion.

Le brother rides morphics. it's a great ski, great flex good for everything, but he is also on his third pair. Liberty is great with their warranty but when your first pair decambers, and liberty send you your new fresh 2012 morphics which get delamed, the edge ripped out and the core broken after 2 weeks and then you get your third pair which are currently in one piece you can't help but question liberty's durability. Great warranty program though.

Awesome, thanks guys.  Just need to decide on length, but at 5'6 I think I am going to go with the 165cm ARV.  Thinking the 175 is just a little too long.  Probably mount Griffin bindings too.

I agree with the sentiments on the ARV it is one of the most reliable skis ever built in my opinion.  Super versatile every where, smooth and easy to ski.  As for the length unless you weight under 130lbs I would without question get the 175cm.

Yea, I have gotten oppinions from a couple people in the industry that I trust and they are split on sizing either the 165 or the 175.  Just makes this harder haha.

I'm the same height and ride the 165. I like it, especially for the park runs. This ski is traditional camber with a lot of sidecut so I don't think you would need the length. 175 would be more appropriate for a reverse camber ski, etc.
