Blacktail Mountain?

I went there once probably ten years ago now, so I can't help too much. However, from what I remember the terrain is somewhat flat, but not many people ski there so when they get snow it can stay untouched for a long time. It's definitely more of a little family place though. I know there have been a couple rails in the past but not sure what the current state is about the park.

I ski there a few times every year.  It's not bad but I would recommend Big Mountain (Whitefish Mountain Resort.) 

Blacktail is more of a family mountain.  I could ski anything on the mountain in 4th grade.  The terrain park has a few rails and small jumps but it's kinda abandoned.  The last time I skied there they hadn't even groomed the foot of fresh snow out of it.  The good part about it is the community there.  It has much less of a corporate atmosphere.

Big Mountain on the other hand is great.  They have a good terrain park that has had gaps up to 60 feet.  It also has plenty of smaller jumps and lots of rails.  They have some far more difficult terrain and a huge amount of backcountry if you are willing to hike.  They have lots of skiing for all levels of skiiers too.

Its awesome for a small resort feel. The lifts are super slow and the park is kinda of a joke(still fun). No matter what you will find fresh snow and theres tons of fun cliffs on the sides runs. I like to go 1-2 times a year just make sure you bring some friends. I cant imagine riding blacktail alone.

I agree with Will definitely, Blacktail is a sleeper on powder days though. Seriously, pow days there can be surprisingly awesome, the fact that everyone goes to big mountain for a pow day can mean no lift lines at Blacktail. They do have a good gladed area on thunderhead that they have been clearing for the past couple of years. A decent pitch there means sleeper pow days, so save money for when those days come.
