Joel, I don't know if anybody has ever told you this before, but using an action verb in a sentence really helps bring its clarity to a whole new level.
The PH crew is really a bunch of great people and I was/am honored to have been invited. I haven't really participated there in months.....sort of feel bad about it. There was a solid 6-9 months where PH dominated my ns time. I wish some of the relationships that soured there hadn't. :-(

and a handful of others I'm definitely forgetting right this second really made me feel at home on ns. I guess not all of those guys ^ are most well known, but they're my favorite for sure. If I left you off, well, my b.
I'm in PPP, don't think I've ever posted though.
For me the most well known members are the ones that joined around when I did, 05-06. Waaaay too many for me to list off though.
All the popular kids of nsg right now are just the most annoying members.
that's exactly right. Most of the people listed, at least in my eyes, are just post whoring drama queens who throw their 2 cents into every thread while never really contributing anything worthwhile. However, I guess they are technically the most known, it just happens to be for being obnoxious. But hey, in this youtube generation, ANY attention is good attention.
I especially can't stand kids who work for NS fame. For example, anyone who makes post count claim threads, attempts to re-enact famous ns happenings (level 1 trailer, april fools, ns alien, and on and on) and just generally appears desperate for ns notoriety. The number of kids that act like this has increased ten fold in the last two years. Also, the clique-iness just seems to get worse and worse. I open threads now and by the tenth post it has unraveled into a one on one (or 3 or 4 people) conversation about some inside joke or something unrelated to the OP. Like...I can feel the participants loneliness and desperation to be a part of something...grosses me out. Basically, NS is turning into just any other message board.
i'm always nostalgic when i go in to the DL, it really fizzled out and i think that was a shame. i spent a lot of time in there when it was very active. plus i wish GD was still around. not sure where it goes on the timeline, i always thought of it as kind of an outlier of that progression that includes a lot of people from all those others. i still remember how pumped i was to get the invite to DL, and then to PH.
i really only post in (or even look at) PH, and it only rarely. i get what you mean about not being "privileged", i often make posts or threads and then delete them after second thoughts, i usually just don't think anyone cares what i have to say (he says in a post).
to whoever said harvey, what percentage of kids on ns these days do you think have no idea who matt is or what he has meant to ns? i bet it's high.
