Red eye is describing a flight which runs from late at night to into the morning so when you come of the flight your eyes are red from lack of sleep, therefore the "red eye" flight. It is not an airline haha.

Yeah, the more you know, right?

But you know, they always say "I'm catching the "Red Eye", see you soon" so I just assumed. Plus, in Donnie Darko, they zoom into the jet engine and it does have this weird, red swirl in the center, which I assumed to be the logo, if that makes any sense.
