Replying to Political Arguments. why?

Why do people get in political arguments? It is pointless. You are not going to change people's political views in one argument. Most people's political beliefs have been engrained in them since childhood. You are not going to ever change the unbreakable truth that is their political views. It is arguing simply for the sake of arguing. Just wondering why people try? Just vote for what you believe in and let other people do what they will.
