Rarely will a dislocating shoulder get better on its own. Each time it seperates it tends to get looser and potentially do more damage. So its either surgery or a dramatic lifestyle change. Same with tears the longer you wait the more likely it is that the graf wont hold or still have the flexibility to be properly reattached
I dealt with a torn rotator cuff surgery 2 summers ago. I milked out the ski season and thankfully they were able to reattch and its good to go now. 6 weeks with your arm strapped to your side and another 6 of limited activity is the suck, but being able to cast the fly rod pain free and do the things I love to do made it worth it for me. Dont slack on your pt and if your physical terrorist is hot try and date her with the hopes of marrying her. They make great wives (winkie)
