going somewhere skiing either during Xmas february or Easter and what is the best resort for lift access off piste/powder and snow conditions. I'm an expert skier so steepness/ smaller cliffs arnt an issue.
i hear breck is the steepest and deepest in the west. no, but actully if money isnt an issue look into telluride. its sick. if ur going for xmas or easter, dont even think about going to summit county. jackson hole is steep but its expensive.
the rockies have sooooooooo much to offer. My favourite is sunshine village, the way the resort is set up is just really cool and they get snow almost every single day. Lake louise is real nice too, make sure you get to kicking horse in Golden B.C.
Still in the Rockies, it's just the range of mountains that it is in.
If you're going to be in Canada, check out Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, Red, Whitewater and/or Fernie.
If you're in the States, I dunno, I'm sure someone else will help you. Sorry
Teluride is super sick, steep and great terrain, the only down side is how bad some of the awesome terrain is wind affected, but the town is awesome, some freat bars, and one of the coolest areas in the world. For overall expierience I would do t ride for sure
Dude(s), don't get me wrong I love telluride just as much as the next big mountain skier but it's probably the most hit or miss mountain I've ever been to concerning snowfall. Same goes for the butt. Just go to jackson hole.
haha yeah I didn't know that the Rockies was so specific but I'm just looking for any resort in north America in any mountain range that has good lift Access backcountry :P
In that case, Revelstoke and Kicking Horse. They're an hour and a half apart, so you can go back and forth between the two. Lodging is relatively inexpensive in both towns, especially Golden. Plus Lake Louise is also pretty close if you feel the overwhelming need to go hit some rocks.
Kicking Horse, Revelstoke. They are about 40 minutes apart. I would get a place at Kicking Horse and ski there and then drive down to Revelstoke and check that out too.
