IPhone vs Droid 3

I about to switch carriers from AT&T to Verizon and I can't decide which phone between the Droid 3 and the IPhone 4 16gb. Im not gonna wait for the IPhone 5 and pay out the ass for it so don't say that. What are your thought/oppinions/facts ns?

When I was in your position, I switched from my iPhone 3g to a Droid Incredible 2. It's not that I don't like my Droid a lot, because I do, but there's certain things that I miss about the iPhone that make me wish I had gone with the 4. Go into the store and try both before you buy.

the droid 3 is just like the droid 2 is just like the droid 1. plus sliders suck ass.

i didn't get an iphone because i wasn't eligible with the early upgrade that i did, probably would still choose the incredible 2, it's pretty sick

you sir are very wrong. lawl @ 3 weeks, its atleast 1-2 months for the next version of the 4. 5 will probably launch right before xmass



and id go with neither. switch to sprint instead and get the nexus s. if you're stuck with verizon then id go android over iphone, i dunno what device tho. you're going to be paying a ton either way tho

lol just wait for the Droid Bionic. Coming out in late August hopefully and is godly. Look it up.

Its going to have an 8mp cam, forward facing cam, run on 4g lte, super fast processor, and so much more.

sorry but its not "godly". its the same thing as the sprint motorola photon which just came out. works pretty well, but nothing crazy compared to some of the other phones that carriers offer. i still suggest samsung everytime

your all fucking idiots because as an iOS dev myself, i know apple usually follows a 1 year release pattern at the end of every june for the iPhones... they obviously went past that deadline this year because they started iOS 5 beta testing slightly later, likely because they needed more time to slim down the design and add support for 4g LTE... but anyways this beta test period is usually 2-3 months which it has almost been, and apple has ordered large volumes of certain LCD displays and other equipment needed to begin mass production of the next iphone.... oh, and certain places have dropped the price of the iphone 4 down to $169 i think it was like target or something... sooo that also indicates a new hardware release... so just wait it out for the next iPhone, it will be worth it.

I couldn't disagree more. I wasn't a huge fan of the iphone until my droid (eris) started fucking up left and right and my friends iphones worked flawlessly. Honestly the iphone shits on droids and now a days everything caters to iphones in terms of compatibility, apps, etc.

no, you are wrong. the eris sucks, not androids. spend the money on a good android and you wont be disappointed. spend very little and it will suck. just like most things in life, you get what you pay for. nothing caters towards iphones, and you pay for everything. just wrong

september 8 is when the droid bionic (by motorola) comes out its going to be pretty neat ...
"soon" the samsung galaxy s2 will be coming out on verizon ....
and sometime around holidays the nexus prime might might be out

All 3 will be nice phones

the SGS2 has been out in europe for a while and is supposedly awsome and with verizons 4g lte if you have it in your area any of these will kick ass even without the 4g .... all phones at least 1ghz dual core processors ...... SPARK NOTES : this shit is/will be fast

if you use your phone ALOT get an iphone because the battery is much better then any droid, i had my droid and hated that i would have to charge it every 4/5th period depending on days, i use my phone pretty heavily in school betweeen being on here making my iq go down most of the time and playing a game on my phone because mostof my classes sucked

another person talking out their ass....if you get a phone with shitty battery life, it will have shitty battery life. saying the iphone is better than "any droid" is retarted, because androids are made by 5 different manufacturers, so it just depends on the phone itself. the iphone's battery is no better than any android with the same size battery/processor/screen.

Im leaning toward the Droid 3 and heres why: expandable memory with micro sd card (up to 32gb extra on top of the built in 16gb), has physical keyboard so im not always dependent on touchscreen as I am prone to fuck up on touchscreen, has faster download/upload times according to the cnet review but a con is all the impossible to remove bloatware i wont use.

When i got my iphone 4 last summer i was expecting it to be amazing and I thought I woudn't have any problems with it. And as it turns out, it has been amazing and i have had no problems with it. So yeah... get an iphone.

That being said, ive never owned a droid so for all i know it's better. But i doubt it

What are you some droid fanboy? All im saying is ive tried both a droid and an iphone, know people who have had both, and an overwhelming number of these people much prefer the iphone. The only downside of the iphone is the screen is easy to crack, but there has been absolutely nothing about the iphone that has made me complain so far, where there were 1000 reasons I hated my old phone.

I really don't care how much you love your droid the iphone is just better

no, i work in the cell phone industry. so instead of spitting useless/wrong info, i actually know what im talking about. facts are facts, when you put the htc evo up against the iphone the only thing better on the iphone is battery life. everything is either equal or better on the evo. and there have been atleast 3 phones on the sprint network rated better than the evo sooo......


if you want a phone thats only compatible with macs/apple, you pay for everything on it/to use it, it cant get service in your left hand, and its more likely to break then go for it. otherwise there is absolutely no reason to get the iphone. androids are much more capable phones and you get much more for the price, the problem is people want to buy the cheap android instead of one that costs the same as the iphone, so they get a shitty phone and assume every android is like that. you and your friends may prefer the iphone and jump on that bandwagon, but its because you bought a shitty android and didnt use it to its full capacity

may i ask where you work and what you do? is it for some droid website or something. and i said that i had an og droid incredible and the battery life sucked that is probably the most comparable droid to an iphone, screen size, processor, and battery size, and the iphone is much better i played madden pretty much all day today and i still have over 20 percent not much over but still i think that is pretty good.

now if you compare something with a much larger screen size and smaller battery then yes that is not a fair comparison, but overall the battery life on all droids is sub par, they need to stop putting out new phones every week and make the things that the user really needs better.

to op, if you like a full keyboard then it is a no brainer to get the droid 3, but that will also add thickness. i think it really comes down to what UI you like best. i always liked IOS and that is why i have one, plus the hardware is so damn sexy.

inb4 hate for glass back and how it breaks easily

replacing the back of an iphone 4 if it does break is easy as fuck and a new back is like 10 bucks so not a huge deal. plus you can customize your phone with a diff back. however.....do not fuck up the front or screen because it is a bitch to fix and hella expensive. o and android sucks and will never be close to the user experience on an iphone
