I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO OUTKAST SINCE I WAS 11. ON EASTER WHEN I WAS 11 THE EASTER BUNNY GAVE ME AN UNEDITED ALBUM OF OUTKAST. THE EASTER BUNNY DIDN'T REALIZE THERE WAS BAD WORDS AND PORN ON THE ALBUM. I KEPT IT A SECRET FROM MY PARENTS. I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO THEM SINCE 2002. I WAS 11 YEARS OLD. THAT'S ALMOST 10 YEARS OF OUTKAST I HAVE BEEN A FAN.


YOU CAN'T SAY FUCK THEM UNTIL YOU HAVE LISTENED TO ANOTHER ARTIST FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME THAT IS BETTER. AND I DON'T MEAN KNOW A SONG. HELL I HAD THE WILL SMITH ALBUM SINCE I WAS LIKE 7, BUT HE'S NOT BETTER. AND I'VE KNOWN ABOUT ELVIS SINCE I WAS 3, BUT I HAVEN'T LISTENED TO HIM.

Oh well in that case ok, but still never say Fuck Outkast. That's not right.

They have never done anything wrong. Never been a sellout. Never done anything that might cause them to be hated except be dope. They launched a clothes line that failed. They have some dope movies out. Great music. Etc.

and Stankonia is a dope album but they are not the best in the rap game, and I can say that because I have listened to more than one artists for over 10 years

I did not rip on them. I simply stated that some of their lyrics either you can't understand or they don't make sense to some people. They have meaning, you have to seriously think about some of the lyrics.


And they might not be the best in the rap game, but who have you honestly listened to for over 10 years that is better? I own every album by outkast. Actually own the cd. Not illegal download. Own it.


Sure, there are better rappers, this thread wasn't made to say that they are the best. Read the thread. Someone said fuck outkast. I got mad because he had no logic behind it. Then he said he meant in terms of lyrics that don't make sense there are others that are worse. Which makes sense.

Seriously though, when they toured, they had two buses. Big Boi's bus had mad parties, girls, drugs, alcohol, everything. Dre, he had healthy food like carrot sticks, fruits, water, etc.

You know rap started in the late 70s right so it is possible for someone to listen to rap/hip hop before 2001.

All I'm saying is I've been a fan of Outkast for about 10 years. As in a serious fan, owning albums and stuff. 10 years ago most NS were honestly probably listening to Backstret Boys, Nsync or other greats like Soul Decision.


My dad made me listen to Outkast. I've grown up loving them.


If you have honestly listened to Wu-Tang and owned their albums for over 10 years, you are probably about 23 years old at least. In which case you would understand how dirty outkast is, and yes wu tang is dirty, but so overrated currently. ATCQ, BDP, and Atmosphere, ok once again, they might be better to you, but in my mind outkast is my favorite, and i've been a fan for over 10 years.


If anyone thinks outkast sucks, you suck. That's logic. This thread was not made to talk about who is the best rap group. Is was made to appreciate outkast and how some of their lyrics make no sense but they are still great.
