Mixing 24 with 30 fps

How would I go about this? convert the 30 to 24? and using what? Thanks.

conform the 30p to 24 using cinema tools (mac), then speed up and of the clips you want at regular speed in your NLE

if youre using fcp i know thay if you have a 24p timeline and put a 30p clip it just drops 6 frames

so its then playing at 80% speed right? so I'll have to play it at 120%?

no, it just drops the frames. you have to conform it to have it slow down otherwise fcp just won't use them. and it would be 125% I believe
