Get a used GL1/GL1/VX1000/VX2000 on eBay, well worth it. I'm selling my XM1 (GL1) just now, UK though.

whats your price range, i got a song dcr trv 19 for like 400 bucks, it's not some super high tech camera, but its works great for me
