I found a locked ipod

Recently lost my ipod touch and i happened to find one at school where I work. It's cracked and in terrible condition but it has a passcode and I cannot unlock it.

anyone know how to get this thing unlocked?

any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Remember how you felt shitty when you lost your iPod? well whoever lost that probably feels the same way. You should see if anyone has come in looking for one or something before you claim it as your own.

how do i reset it? i don't care about losing shit on it because its probably got bad music.

Don't hate. this thing has cracks all over the screen and is 8g. the kid who lost it probably doesn't care considering it's a POS. I recenty lost my 32g ipod touch in mint condish. I call it karma.

Plug it into your computer, go to settings, re-set ipod, re-sync your stuff to your ipod. Win!

I work construction at my old highschool and this ipod has been lost since before school was out. (june 22) It has been sitting in the office since I started working (july2) I finally decided to take it.

The person had plenty of chance to claim it. it's been over a month.

Lol at all the Dudley Do-Rights who would keep it but act like your a douche for keeping it. Finders keepers if its all fucked up and your gonna love it go for it! Just plug it into a computer and do a factory reset. Nice find considering you just lost yours!

problem here is that Even when i plug it in and itunes comes up it doesn't recognize the ipod.

Hold the home button and the power button untill it shows the usb port thing and the itunes logo. Then plug it in
