Wow. When i saw thread title I figured in what discipline? I can't believe the put slopestyle into the Olympics. I had to google a little to find out if it were true. After they had so much flack trying to get halfpipe included. It's amazing they (IOC) actually moved on this. If anyone can bring back gold for Canada there'd be none more deserving than TJ.

he just threw the first dub 16 not even 2 years ago. the knee injury is almost a good thing because he'll stay fresher

no one wants an obviously stoned out of his mind face of freeskiing. It will turn off the more mature segment of the population. What you do on you owntime is yours to do, but i dont want a drunk or a stoner representing an activity i love.

ok i see your point. he still does great things for the sport. i think that he is a great role model for the sport and having him rep the sport is awesome, weed or no weed. And im pretty sure no one would come to the olympics stoned out of their mind.

Great article, agree with pretty much everything, except I think you need a coach. Who is going to give constructive criticism? Yourself when looking at a little video screen? It's much harder than you think to give yourself feedback. Your teammates who are actually competing against you for Olympic spots? Seems like a bit of a pipe dream if you think you can pull it off without a coach. May be possible, but I expect other countries are going to throw every possible resource into winning an Olympic slopestyle medal, including hiring wicked coaches to be there not only for technical support, but also kickass motivational inspiration.
