It's a new music genre coming out of the UK. Similar to dubstep, having the same tempo and beat, but more chill and atmospheric. Future Garage takes dubstep back to its roots in UK garage, while also moving it in a new direction with R&B influence and chilled out vibes. If you like Burial and the sound of his Hyperdub label, you'll like this stuff.
How it's like dubstep: 140 BPM with kick on 1 and snare on 3, deep synth bassline, primarily instrumental. Listen to some older dubstep ('04ish) and you'll see more similarity. you can't compare this to skrillex.
I'd initially like to say Come on dude!! for lumping me into some hypebitch skrillex lover category. I have listened to dubstep for a long time and although i like skrillex i know that its mainstream and hardly anywhere close to superior to most dubstep artists... However i have never gotten into early dubtep from the uk definitely not as far back as 2004 since i was in 6th/7th grade at that time. But i'm definitely going to have to. This future garage is sick i was missing the bass though. Me gusta the womp. You got any dope old derbstep to reccommend? It'd be appreciated.
