Is there much difference between the hot dogger and the classic?

If I were to buy the classic and just change out the bootboard, would it be the same boot (aside from color and homo cable cover)? Their site is a little weird about the liners so I can't figure out if they have the same liner or not.

The Classic has the rigid boot board and the performer liner, while the Hot Dogger has the active boot board (shock-absorbing) and the pro liner (thinker/better). Other than that, it's just the colors.
