Fun was had for sure. Visited some alaska museum while in fairbanks, but were mainly up midstate to check out my pop's property in delta junction.
Went to Valdez and didn't charter a boat but got in some fishing from the shore. Caught two silvers, both about 29 inches long and 15 or 20 pounds. Good eatin that night.
Silver gulch brewery near fairbanks was the shit and anyone f age should check it out for their upcoming octoberfestivities.
Also if any of you were bar aged it would have been nice to know not to ring the bell in the bar. Round for the house ended up costing me about 150.
All in all had a wicked fun time and will be back as soon as I can get there, hopefully when some skiing is to be had, and I actually bring some skis.
Anybody ever drive there from the east coast and can give me an estimate on what that would take traveltimewise and how hard they were pushin??
You guys have a wonderful fuckin state minus the mosquitos, but we got them here too that wasn't that bad.
Even got a northern lights show in fairbanks on sunday night while we were grillin the salmon.
thanks for your help guys.
