however, i do also agree with OP. i wish there were more discussion threads, not just 'critique my edit' or 'what lens do i buy.' those get old pretty quick.

although it's not inactive, like will said i'd like there to be more discussion threads. Not that i could add much to them but it would help me learn new things, which i'm always looking to do. This is def. the best forum though

I have a quick question while we are in this thread what is good for color correcting in fcp x cuz I find the built in color corrector kinda suckish.

i agree!


i just don't know where to start. i wish there were more discussions/debates about filming techniques, color theory, etc.

even if it turns into an argument, it's a great way to understand how and why other people do things and in my opinion is one of the best ways to learn.

I couldn't agree more! Although I don't really post frequently, I have learned SO much from just reading through opposing viewpoints in threads that really open your mind.

I really want to start a thread or two now to get a discussion going on some topics I have yet to master. Thinking about making one on the topic of audio mixing / engineering and one on the idea of shot composition and still shots vs. always incorporating motion..
