I wish I could put myself into your shoes for one moment, and feel the grief, but I've never had an experience like the one you're going through.
Life is a fickle thing. When you think you are going to be the lucky one, you get bad news. And the fact that things like this are random means you have no control over things that happen. You could be the most wholesome, happy person, who does good stuff, and you or your family is hit by sickness or some other devastating event. Or, you could be lazy, greedy and mean your whole life and blessed with perfect health. It sucks to think that you don't know what's in your future and there's no way to prepare yourself for the big bad things that happen.
All I can say is man, you are going to be stronger than ever, and though empty, remember, half of her is you, and what she fought for and what she loved more than anything was you, and your family. And that kind of love doesn't go away easily. Remember every good moment and learn from the bad.
I am so proud to be part of newschoolers. The vibes and support on here are more than anyone could have asked for. Strangers were praying and still are praying for you; people who have never met you or your mom.
There's hope everywhere you look. Just because she's gone, it doesn't mean she has left.
