Who knows lenses? Sony VCL-0746A

I bought a Sony VCL-0746A at an estate sale for $8. Its Brand new, has the cardboard box, leather case thing, and the lense is still in the sealed plastic.

Is this lense worth anything or is it totally obsolete? All I can find on ebay is a used one for $99 that got no bids.

Its a wide angle adapter so its only gonna really work on the end of a camcorder, its not an SLR lens. Should still work perfectly you may need a step up ring depending on your camera.
