u could get a tamron 17-50 its a great all-purpose lens

built better, it has a fixed aperture to the aperture won't change as you zoom, slightly wider (by 1mm), and it's speed (f/2.8) is higher than that of the 18-135 (f/3.5-5.6) which means that it will be better in low light and will also give you shallower depth of field
