I just watched Ladder 49 for the first time in a few years and couldn't help but shed a few tears at the end. The Last Samurai also has this affect on me, so I am curious which movies play on your heart strings?
Call me a horse nerd all you want, but damn, Seabiscuit gets me every time. I cry like a little bitch. I'm choking up right now because I watched this scene again.
Also Peter Pan. every.single.fucking.time. It doesn't matter which version of the movie I'm watching, it just destroys me.
Other than that it's mostly movies based on books that I cried the first time I read them ... Never Let Me Go, The Timetraveller's Wife, Jane Eyre, HP7.
Crying in movies is a very recent development for me, up until about the end of high school I never did. I'm not sure whether it's related to stress levels or because I had a huge aversion to showing any sort of emotion/letting myself feel anything (something I'm still somewhat guilty of).
