Armada ar6 or surface double time

ar6 is $350 new.

double time is $200 new.

My question is should I spend an extra 150 to get a better ski or not? anyone own the double times and can tell me how they perform?

I'm 75% park 25% groomers

Looking at the double times as well. Im 510 and d structure has them in a 170 is that too small?

soft tails? i wanna be able to hit 50 footers with my skis.

I also am 5'10 and was thinking about the 170's. I'm just really confused

I want the ar6 but it's an extra 150 bucks

I would go longer than 170 at your height. You will appreciate the extra length when hitting bigger jumps.

can't really help you there i've never ridden them. But I do know that the AR6 will be able to handle bigger jumps and slay rails. I personally would go with the AR6 because they are one of the best park skis out there and Surface seems to have durability issues so I would stay away from them for park skis.

No problem. For some reason i really like to just surf and try to find the best deals out there on ski stuff haha. Bad thing is it always makes me want to spend more money

aiight so since this thread is on double times.


Im from the east coast, and im 5'10 and still growing cuz im only 15. So im probably gonna grow more. But since im on the east coast, i wont be hitting jumps over 40ft. But i dont want to out grow these skis. Dstructure has them for 200 bucks in size 170. Are these too small? PLEASE respond

I would say yes and that you need something 177-182 even if you were't growing at all. Even if you're not hitting huge jumps you will appreciate the extra length. Not to mention it just looks plain goofy if your skis are too short.

i own 2012 double times they slay it all skied 3 feet of pow and u dont have to work to hard and i hit 110 foot jumps there stiff as a 2 by 4 tip and tail they least playful skis ever but still so much fun

Ya too short, I'm 5'6 and my park skis are 170ish, so I think 180ish would be good for you. To the OP, these 2 skis seem pretty different, one being a park ski and the other being a park/all mountain ski. Ar6 are awesome skis that flex nicely and still feel good on bigger jumps. Both are light, but the surfaces are going to be stiffer then the Ar6.
