I was down there yesterday and the setup looked fuming sweet. I'm stoked for whatever race is supposed to run through downtown LA, they had all the barricades setup. Unfortunately I had to leave this afternoon so I never got to see any events.

overall first day was weak judging wise and contest wise.. like there were no high tension moments really. like oh who will win. skateboard park was good but the judges sucked big airwas fine but the judging sucked and only like 4 people landed their shit. whip contest was sick but twitch shouldn't have won. or even placed. step up was the only legit thing they had hahaha

I'll be honest, Sheckler has regained a lot of the respect I had lost for him. He's had a much better attitude recently, unless I missed something and he DOES kill it. Chaz Ortiz on the other hand, seems to have become a bit of a whiny bitch. I assume its an age thing and he will grow out of it like Sheckler though.

Yeah I know what your saying, I used to feel the same way. I saw him at the Dew Tour last year though and he seemed like he had turned a new leaf. He ended up in second place and he was still laughing and didn't seem to really care, where as in the past he might have walked out of the arena. I also read or saw an interview somewhere at some point that he did with Jake Phelps and it changed my opinion of him.

Ortiz on the other hand...He got third and it seemed like he was being a pretty big twat, but who knows, maybe it was just a rough day.
