none of you have ever even heard of the best bc skier alive. I don't know who they are either, but who ever they are they are a Chamonix local. Seth Morrison even said that when he went there he would constantly see people doing thing much crazier than he was. Those damn frechies are insane when it comes to their mountaineering and skiing skills. I think in this day it normally sounds kind of stupid to describe backcountry skiing as extreme skiing, but when it comes to cham, the use of word extreme is more than acceptable

you speak truth man, but alot of backcountry skills comes with experience. And being 18 or 19 or however young Petit is, the level he throws down at promises an insane future. This kids is gonna be throwin down the most draw dropping segments for years to come, maybe even 10 more years with even more creative huge lines and massive cliffs.

This kid seriously made it, gotta show him mad respect.

Cant even imagine doing what hes doing at this age, serious envy.

I like this post.
Personally, I'm as scared to mix mountaineering with skiing as I am to go to Cham... the consequences are so big. I find myself owning crampons that fit over my ski boots, an ice axe and a harness, though I've yet to use all three together. I know once I do there's no turning back. There is certainly another level to our sport that ups the anti. Most of the skiers this thread has focused on are not there yet. Though Horji and Seth might be exceptions... mixing all elements. I have a feeling Sean (and his bro) will eventually expand in this direction too.

I love Sean and his skiing a lot. He's probably one of my favorites for sure. But hey he hits like 60+ foot cliffs while throwing switch japan 5's

As good as petit is now but you cant say hes the best ever as if you anything about BC doug coombs owns him on so many levels. If it wasnt for there wouldnt be alaskan heli skiing. Im pretty sure it would still be ilegal to go out of bounds.

as much as he slays, i'd say no. theres countless unknown people who crush everything on skis, but as far as the mainstream pro's, i'd have to give it to dane. word on the street is he lost his perception of reality somewhere in the whis backcountry this year. likely multiple times, actually. and you can never forget about candide, if freeskiing had a game and there was a final boss at the end, it would be him. petit has unlimited potential though
