Turning A Macbook into Editing Monitor For Desktop HELP

hey ns,

i have a macbook that i want to use for an external monitor for my mac desktop. I know i need a certain cord but im not sure what it is? + k for help

You actually can't do that. The laptop screen is wired for the laptop and nothing else. Maybe if you took it all apart and somehow wired it to a dvi/vga then you could, but i doubt you have the electrical engineering knowledge to do that.
