In this case the most important thing I'm worried about is her conservatism towards gays . Ive got allot of crooked friends and it would bug me. Other than that i don't give a shit.

yes i agree, but i don't think you have to be a complete idiot to care about politics, like it or not they do have a pretty big impact on your life. You cant complain about how shitty the people in office are and then talk shit about people who actually care about politics enough to vote and be somewhat active if you are too apathetic to do anything

No that i beleive in any particular party but i guess im fairly left wing. i dated a girl who was pretty apathetic about politics but then when an election would come she would always vote conservative and never gave me an answer why, i reckons its coz her dad did. used to fuck me off though.

No political party is "Wrong" so to speak. Its just a point of view/opinion that varys from person to person. Some people can get by that and some can't. Main tip is to not talk politics and/or try to convert said person to "your side"

my parents have different political opinions and they get along just fine. they poke fun at each other's parties or get into arguments every once in a while, but it's not that big of a deal unless you're some fag who actually takes a bunch of greedy liars seriously.

I won't complain. And I do have things that I contribute to society, on my own terms. Because trying to put any effort behind any politician or political system is pissing into the wind as far as I am concerned.

i've got to agree with this. this is a personal thing of course, similar to religion i would say, but I just don't see it as something worth getting all worked up and angry over.

i know many people do, but i guess that's just not for me.

i respect your opinion and the past debates we've had, actually i've enjoyed them because they're intelligent. to be fair, i should be a bit more informed on politics but i guess i just find myself a bit put off when it comes to listening to and being part of political debates. it is generally hard to maintain an intelligent conversation when you're debating important issues with somebody who has such a different stance on life/morals/issues than you do.

although society and politics should be related, they are unfortunately not. you should still care about society, but trying to put any effort into politics with the intention of changing humanity will likely leave you burned.
