Q about saga pants?

i have a couple pairs of saga pants and i needa wash a pair, i looked on the pant and it said nothin about anythin, so im wonderin can i wash em? if i do, just dont dry em. help me out! do they get runed when you wash em... lemme kno

i understood "washing saga pants"

so i assume you want to wash them. they are just like any other set of snow pants so yes you can wash them.

just put it in the washing machine then air dry

use special detergent tho...otherwise the waterproofing will be comprimised

any detergent works, but only use detergent (no dryer sheets n shit like that)

no normal detergent will clog the pores of the material and it wont be able to breath or something like that. trust me. use special stuff when youre washing waterproof things.

You're definitely gonna wanna waterproof those bad boys. Buy some wash in Nik Wax, it works like a charm. You will lose almost all weatherproofing if you just throw 'em in the wash.

There are two kinds, wash-in and spray-on. They're like $10 for a big bottle at any outdoors store (REI, etc). Pretty self explanatory, you just throw your pants in and pour a little of the wash-in kind in with it (there are directions) or you wash your pants sans nikwax, take 'em out and spray all over. It's super easy, just follow the directions and you're set!

I have personally had more success with the wash-in method, because it seems like it gets more waterproofing "into" the actual jacket. But the spray-on method surely works well also.
