My first tattoo

YOOO i got my first tattoo this morning, cr's quote: "the joy I get from skiing, thats worth dying for." on my ribs to my side, its a fuckey feeling haha. anyone else got dope tattoos

In no way would having tattoos effect your ability to be a parent.
It doesn't matter how many dads you see at the hockey rink, someone with tattoos is no different to someone without tattoos in terms of personality and character.
I understand the professional aspect of having a lot of tattoos, but that is just rediculous.

In no way did i even mention being superior or say that people who have tattoos are inferior. All I am commenting on is the general reception your ink will get you for the reest of your life unless something drastic changes which it won't. Tattoo's are generally more popular with the undereducated, something I try not to associate myself with.

My response to that is no, it does not affect your ability to parent whatsoever. Although, it is inevitable your kids friends and their parents will judge you if your rockin ink like our boy Deadbeatz. Why does someone feel the need for attention so bad that they are willing to spend money, which in most cases isn't there, to get covered in ridiculous looking ink that doesn't help their image in any way.

Hahaha undereducated! Where you from? You go to private school? I can assure you there are many doctors and buisness owners who have a passion for tattoos. Actualy a lot of very smart individuals with spirituality go to other countries and live an experience of a tattoo. How old are you? What are you studying to become? you sound very ignorant and closed.

I kind of agree with you, as his backpiece looks like something a wannabe gangster vomited up, but I hopefully the way people judge over tattoos is changing, and unless you have your hands, neck or face tattooed it's pretty easy to hide them whenever you need to.


What you said earlier about them being associated with the uneducated is changing, many of the people I know that are very into tattoos are above average intelligence and have degrees and stuff. I think it's stupid to distance yourself from uneducated people too.

Why do you give such a fuck about someone's image? Doesn't affect you one bit. You don't see parents at kids hockey games inked up because that wasn't the thing in their generations. Just wait til we start poppin kids out, shit, I already have plenty of friends with kids and ink. And as far as the professionalism thing, thats fucking laughable, I work in a professional setting in the creative industry, if you're not inked up, YOU are the outcast. Get with the times bud.

No I go to university in Canada, never attended private school and dad works a blue collar job. I know many successfull people through work, school, family friends etc. and not one of them have any sort of visible tattoo when seen out wearing  shorts and a T shirt. When was the last time you met a lawyer, doctor, engineer of any sort sportin some heavy ink. Not saying thoses are the only good jobs at all, just sayin they are 3 of the highest regarded

I dislike this outlook just as much as the "if you have ink you are an outcast" outlook. I frankly feel that this pro tattoo vs anti tattoo thing is something from the past. I know guys that are covered in tattoos that in the law office I will be interning at sometime. Meanwhile, I have no tattoos cause I grew up with old fashioned parents... plus, I don't like pain and the only tattoo I would want would cover my whole back.

Tattoos are a personal thing, just like piercings, the type of shirt a person wears, or the type of hats people wear. It's not a "if you have them you are a delinquent" or a "if you don't have them you are an outcast" thing.

Keyword here. Creative industry. Obviously your gonna be the outcast if you look normal. But go into an industry where creativeness doesn't matter as much, such as just about any industry out there, and you'll see the difference.

Too bad you took that completely out of context Panda Man. I was saying where I work, in a professional setting, that is the case. CODumbfuck up there was arguing that it isn't professional if you get inked, and I was providing insight that that is far from the truth. Im not saying that in everyday life, if you don't have ink, you are inferior, just that it has nothing to do with "professionalism."

a doctor my friend skis with at saint sauveur is a doctor and has tatoos. He is an anesthesiologist if I am not mistaken. Its a very very high paying role and he has a lot of education.

I now know your probably a troll, going to university usualy widens your thinking a bit and makes your more open to new ways of seeing things. Your either a troll or the little douchebag who sits in the corner of class, studies too hard, has little to no friends because hes always critiquing others for the most pointless shit.

I want one but me mum is Japanese and me dad is 72 and I am only 22. And the one I want would cost me as much as a newer truck would and would cover my entire back if I wanted it done well. :(

I'm not a troll, or anything you described. All i did was voice my opinion on the topic and said what I have seen from personal experience. My friends older brother must have his tattoo removed before he can have a job with the firm he wants in with. Its just something that costs a lot of money and 90% of the time is regretable. Cool, I get to read the same quote about skiing for the rest of my life every time i take a shower. I'm studying engineering if you really wanted to know

Haha, Oh how wrong you are on both points. Im just your average white kid, my tats don't show because I haven't the scratch to get sleeved yet. How about the others I work with who aren't in Creative? The Marketing team? Inked. Editorial? Inked. Sales? Inked. IT? Inked..... I can keep going if you want. I honestly feel bad that you have such a shut-in, office job attitude about your future.

I have a truck. A 1984 Bronco, you can see a pic of it on my profile. It runs fine, just have to change the oil, check the power steering fluid, and the water/anti freeze level. Only issue is the 14 miles per gallon gas mileage.

Not a bit. What do you mean by inked? Sure small tattoos that aren'e offensive or repuslsive are fine. But rockin somethin like Deadbeatz over here just isn't acceptable most places.

90% regretable? I know a shit ton ( not sure you use shit tonne in engineering but I like this measurment) of people who have tatoos and of those only 1 of them was regretted. I would say I know about 1.5% people who regret a tattoo. when they do regret a tatoo its usualy a small one because not a lot of thought always goes into these. Your friend is the moron for getting a tatoo if he wants a job like this.

as I thought, your parrents wanted you to go into engineering or science, you probably didnt cut it in science or didnt have the balls so now you went to engineering. Your going to twist it in a way that you chose by yourself. But you and I know that your ideology stems from your parrents, most likely your da's beleifs and so you went into the domain he wants you in and you think the way his old school ass wants you to. The world is changing, our generation doesnt act the same way as our parrents, we have different mind sets and are more open minded, our world may limit you now, but with the vast majority of the population not fiting the older requirements, the world must and will adapt.

Its a question of priorities. you like nice cars, money and superficial shit. I like cameras and filmmaking. My car is worth a quarter of the price of my camera. Maybee he likes tatoos and the look and symbolism it comes with. maybee its a bigger priority to him than having a truck of the year.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to replace my truck with a F250 crewcab or supercab with a short bed and FX4 off-road package on it but my current 1984 does perfectly fine for me. A tattoo is something permanent and with what I want it would kinda symbolize me.

Basically, I want a samurai, 2 knights, and an eagle flying above them. Samurai cause I am half Japanese, the 2 knights one with a shield with the Romanian flag and one with a lance with the Czech flag cause that's the other part of my family and the eagle cause, well, I was born and raised in the US. Shit like that get's expensive though.

The guys I know tattooed in the law office I will hopefully be at this fall have sleeves but all stopped them right around their elbow so that they can cover them up with dress shirts but still roll up said shirts if they want to.

The heart is located pretty much right in the middle of your chest. The left anterior portion sticks out more, so it could MAYBE be under your nipple, but I'm gonna go ahead and say your heart is not located under your nipple.

No I've always wanted to do ebgineering as a kid as I was interested in the subject. Don't know where your from but here in canada engineering is mush more difficult o get into and continue on in than science so you better look into that one. As i said before my parents work blue collar jobs and did not force me to anything. These are my beliefs from what i've witnessed not them

oh so as a kid you were interested in the subject? I said you would try and cover it up. No kid shows interest in this field unless he is somewhat inspired by a parrent or someone he looks up to. Your too young to be interested because you dont understand what it realy is. sort of like 10 year olds saying they want to be a doctor. they dont actualy understand what being a doctor is. You either know someone who has been an engineer or this interest developps in cejep or highschool when you start to understand what it is. I hold my theory that you are following ideas inflenced by your parrents and your surroundings and that your too close minded to have friends.

I find this pretty ironic. I have 1 full sleeve, back piece and a calf sleeve. I am very successful in a corporate environment for one of the largest companies in the world for over 8 years. My tattoos have never seemed to inhibit my climb up the ladder at all. My wife has tattoos as well, and is also never been stunted in her career.
In my free time, I often do see many fathers (as well as mothers) cheering on their children with sleeves, etc. I have also lived many places, and have never ran into what you describe. Doesn't sound like a very sound place to live if you are judges for the ink on your skin. Hell, what happens when you have a special needs child? Do your neighbors light fires and chase them with pitchforks?
Oh, and I'm in my 30's so I have some substance behind my experience.
