I need to replace my shitspects from this year and i am looking around and i think i might get some HHP's or MDC pro's

Pro's: lightest ski i've ever been on. illest graphics. great mid flex pattern
Cons?: none
edges?: 2.5 mm edges so they rarely crack and when they do they dont pull out
Durability?: other than typical topsheet chipping, their skis hold up very well. you can put a full season on em easy, prob 2
Pop?: perfect pop if you ask me.

^this....I've heard the skis are real decent but the company sucks to deal with....unfortunately I've never rode them but if your getting a super sick deal and don't care about a warranty then go for it, otherwise I'd keep your options open....to me personally customer service trumps all....I can look past some issues if I know a company is willing to work with me in the event of product failure....line, surface, atomic.....all outstanding customer service driven companies....they may be trendy but again they will bend over backwards to work with ya....I hear on3p is very good in this respect as well but I haven't yet had the pleasure to deal with them.....I know I broke format here but hopefully it helps to give you a different perspective....if the case is that you are a rep putting out a feeler, I would still drive home the customer service trumps all ideal.

contrary to your thoughts, campbell and shane both work hard to satisfy all customers and have a great warranty service. a few years back I had major topsheet damage and all campbell asked for was pictures when most companies would say "screw you, topsheet damages isn't covered under warranty". I dont know where you got your ideas...

Just sold my HHP's for next years salomon suspects.
They werent bad skis, just stiff as a rock...
I kinda got over the ninthward image aswell..

If you like stiff skis, they are fucking great.

iv never personaly ridden them but a have a friend whos had a couple pares, (i completely for get waht model but it was one of the park ones) he loved them , all exsept the top sheat the delams super easy and starts splitting from the base...

Man c'mon. Vanular was just stating that they aren't legit with their contracts. He is short 12k because they of them. He just  made a pro model and isnt getting royalties from them. He is a great skier and he is calling them out. Lots of people don't want to support companies that have screwed skiers over. I personally just bought 9ths a few months back, and I can't be more excited to rip them next season but Vanular does make a good point. Ninthward has fucked over multiple skiers who don't deserve it. But I will still support them because I dig their gear. But don't say "guys don't listen to him", it's kind of ignorant. But yeah, no hate.

/Was anyone in Whis for the redbull joyride today? It was fucking rad!

Pretty sure some here missed my point....I clearly said I haven't dealt with them....but if ya want to get detailed then yeah let's do that....had a buddy who's skis had a complete core rupture and edge separation after two days out and he hadn't even hit a rail or any grind as of that point so you can jus make that argument mute....the short story is that it took forever to get a response and he wasn't able to get new skis in the end...also we had a friend of a friend who had the exact same problem and didn't get new skis either....as far as the person who quoted my "rep" statement totally didn't understand that at all so let me explain for the 12yr old tards....there are company reps here who use phony usernames to put out feeler threads to see how public opinion of their company is going or how they can improve their product....doing this under the guise of your "average Joe" encourages a more honest opinion from those who post so you get more of a real feel as opposed to some moron kissing your ass to get free product....this is an old school marketing tool that's been goin on for a while....not saying that the OP was doing that but it sounded an awful lot like a "feeler" thread so I tried to drive home some points that would make things better for your average skier....but nooooo....some tards gotta be know it alls make fun of people for things they don't even understand.

But to the thread I've only heard good things about 9's skis so I will probably try them out this year.

No, your post is ignorant and is exactly why I said "don't listen to Vanular". Ninthward owes him no money. He currently owes his agent money and is blaming Ninthward. No hate to you either, in fact, I'm glad you argued against me so I could bring up why I said that. I wish that thread wasn't deleted (actually, I'm not even sure if it is) so you could see Ninthward's reply.

Ok so was it court ordered that they give money due him to his agent?....was that in the contract with his agent?....because otherwise that's the most ridiculous argument I've ever heard....that's like you being behind on a car payment and your work decides that instead of giving you your paycheck, they take it upon themselves to decide your not capable of such a decision on your own so they pay the loan company....who the eff are they to do that?....if there's a contract that says the agent gets paid first, well that's another story.

I agree with what you're saying, but if you're a pro skier relying on your sponsorships for a source of income in the winter and have contractual agreements with them, then they should be payed. Skiing, when it comes down to it, is a job for pro skiers. Granted, the best job on earth, but still a job.

Yeah I hate this whole "skiing shouldn't be about the money" mentality....so you think that it's ok for a company to make money off of using an athletes skill and popularity but not compensate the athlete for it huh?....what planet are you from?....and then if an athlete helps design a ski that makes the company even more money, your saying all the athlete should get is some free gear and good spot in the "family"?.....w w what?!?....I used to think this was the mentality of a certain type of ski bum but it is now quite clear how convenient it is for some companies to maintain this mentality amongst the community.....it simply isn't fair....pro skiers are risking far more than say a pro football player....this does not translate to your average Joe rockin 180s over 25' booters....you must realize just how much risk is involved in throwin a double cork over 85 footer....or huckin that off a cliff....some if us have had friends who have been killed or permanent injured doing these things....for what?....some free skis that cost $100 to press?....to be considered part of the company "family"?....I am sorry to jump all over that poster but I am a huge believer in properly compensating athletes and quite frankly I am sick of the "that's not what skiing is about" mentality.

They're assholes. They can post all the excuses they want, but they're assholes and they're bad for skiing. Vanular is one guy they've screwed over, but obviously it doesn't end there - off the top of my head, Cosco, Dadali, Eric Seo, oh yeah and Newschoolers.com who they refused to pay for their ads for like 4 years. You don't get a reputation as a company of shitheads from just one incident. Ninthward is just a mess of a company and the sooner they fold up shop the better off this sport will be.
