I just set up my paypal account linked to my debit card. If someone sends me money to it will it got to my debit card or stay in the account. example: i get 30$ sent to me, can i spend it right away online on a tshirt?

it doesn't go to your card.
It either:
Stays in your payapl account
You order a check from paypal
You link it to your bank account and put it in there
If you buy something online and you pay via paypal that will go against your balance in paypal, and if the purchase is bigger than your paypal balance the rest will be billed to your card

You have to request the funds that are in you Paypal account to transfer into you account in which the debit card is linked to.
At the same time Paypal usually take a small cut, I think it's around 5%..

false, if you have any money in your balance it will use that, but you can also pay with just your debit accoiunt, but MAKE sure you have enough in your account cuz not only will you be raped my your bank for a NSF fee, paypal will hold your account for a bit, happend to me :(

actually that guy was right. i bought an item that exceeded my paypal balance, and the remainder of the charge was sent to my debit card...
