Hey guys I am relatively new here and I have a question regarding spins past a 540. How can I work on my ability to stay centered or in control when i chuck 7's-10's. At the moment I can't ride them out on snow and I can't seem to get my balance right cause I always end up getting too corked and have to spread eagle to bring myself back to a stable landing position. Thanks a bunch.
usually ramps kind of start you in a cork, if you pop forward a bit when you start a big spin it'll probably help you in staying uncorked. don't lean back or duck your shoulders either.
whenever i try spins past 5 or even sometimes 3s on a tramp i go corked and spread eagle but on skis its not as bad but i can only spin up to 7 and thats sketchy so what i do on tramps is i grab lead ski or foot and i stay flat. at least that works for me
Make sure you don't pre spin at all. You're pop should be straight up and slightly forward, don't start you're rotatio until youre in the air. Patience should help you out a lot. n
I always thought when I had a lot of core strength (balance + abs and shit) it helped.
Maybe it's just because I was skiing a lot then, but I'm pretty sure that's the main thing that helped 'keep it together' when spinning flat 7's and +
