man on yesterdays episode shane is a fucking moron. running into the bus. then decides to cut open his hand, smear his open wound on a bus, let zombies lick it, then smear his hand where the zombies licked. how the fuck isn't he infected?

In the heat of the situation it was his best option. Remember, he couldn't run far because he was exhausted from fighting Rick. And he would have killed each zombie one by one if he had to, he is Bad. Ass.

Totally fuckin' bad ass, and an awesome way to buy some time and nail walkers  ...BUT... there was some serious blood-on-blood action.  Doesn't that spread the disease?  What do you have to say, Ruffles?

As far as disease spreading goes the show has been pretty loose/inconsistent regarding infections..
They were definitely alluding to something when they made a whole point about the two officers being dead without any bight marks on them.

What Shane did on the bus surely seems it would warrant infection, but I think he's to central a character at this point to just be causally killed off by a little infection.


****SPOILER**** (sort of)

In the comics, Carl has already killed Shane by this time. I know the show isn't staying true to the comic at all, but if/when Shane dies, I'm pretty confident it will be in a more epic/controversial manner.

Beats me, I'm no expert on this stuff it's just interesting. I think the zombies fluids are poison or something and it kills you like any other poison would. I know in the comic Rick gets bit (I think?) on the arm, and they amputate and he lives through it.

I think that the whole 2 infected officers without any signs of bite MIGHT be a sign that the infection is going airborne.

Actually if that happened, then the show would basically be over.

I am not giving anything away. The show has followed a totally different trajectory as the comic for the exact reason that comic book fans would be bored by the same plot and not be surprised by any major plot turns. I am frankly surprised that Shane has survived so long.

What the fuck are you talking about? Dale is like everyones wise Uncle or something. He's the moral voice of the group. Why are you happy he's dead?

They didn't cover half the shit that Dale did in the comic book. He was actually fucking Andrea in the original and was way more badass and interesting. When he died in the comic he got bit, slowly became infected, and deliberately gave himself over to a group of cannibals who were trolling the group for food knowing that they would get infected by eating his flesh.

Well, this isn't the comic, it's the tv show. In the tv show, Dale was a whiny, little bitch that nobody liked. I'm glad he won't be around to cry about Shane and Andrea anymore.

my guess is that kid's gang shows up soon. also i have a feeling more zombies start crossing the swamp now that one got through.

Also Dale was definitely being a whiny bitch but i liked his character at times, im kinda pissed carl had to be a litte weirdo fuck and inadvertently get him killed.

Goddamn Carl. It was time for Dale to go though, maybe if they keep dwindling the group's size they'll become mobile again... Or maybe more scenes with Shane's Hyundai so the show can get some sponsor money and film new locations.

Oh wait, they're already milking that for all it's worth..

I think the death of Dale will allow the series to develop into a more brutal and hopefully more actionfilled direction. So far this season there's been nothing but drama, I might as well start watching Days of our Lives...
