This season had me screaming at my monitor more than any other show I've watched. I say monitor, because I torrent all of the episodes. This really helps with the advertisement bullshit, and from where they place the cuts, I can see why you guys would hate the commercials.
Whats wrong with Rick's wife? Id be eating plan B like a motherfucker for Pete's sake... they can barely keep their son safe.
I also don't like the 'holes' in the way they handle the dead. "Looks like scratches took these policemen out. Well let's acknowledge that as we revert to knife fighting. Oh shit, I'm trapped, lets cut my hand and stab some zombies in the head." Maybe it's because I was born with a splash of OCD, but I'd be wearing some bad ass leather gloves if I was slashing zombies, and I'd sure as hell avoid cutting my hand open for bait so I could stab them.
These would be the last people I would want to be stuck with in this situation. I find Rick really likable, but his "Drop everything and save EVERYBODY" attitude makes me really ticked off. There has to be better ways of advancing the plot without playing this card all of the time. Other than that, he's great, especially with how he handled Shane recently.
Like most of you, I like Daryl a lot. He's who I would want to be in a situation like this. He has a good heart, and he's smart, but isn't acknowledged for it. He can also handle being alone more than anybody in the group. Hopefully his standalone attributes won't make a good excuse for him taking off and leaving
unless the show follows him while he's on his own.
I would want to be like Daryl, but I would probably end up like Glenn. Glenn is another solid dude, and I'm glad that his relationship with Maggie is the deepest extent of his drama.
