Converting an iMovie clip to mp3?

You could just 'share' it to itunes.

Yeah but then it'll be in my iTunes Library movie/video section. I want it to just appear as a song. How can I convert it

put it onto youtube, then use a youtube to mp3 converter.

Yeah thought of that one, but its like 2 hrs long haha.

ive never used the new imovie but can you look through its folders in the Finder and find the timeline movie and export it as just audio through Quicktime? just a guess

can't help you otherwise in imovie cause i havent used it in ages but here's another idea.. if the audio youre trying to export is just a bunch of songs in a row with like some fades or whatever, i know if you have garage band you can throw them together in there and export from there as an mp3. ive done it before cause i took all the songs on sgt pepper and put them in a row so my sgt pepper file on my itunes/ipod was the whole album as it plays..so if that's applicable to you give that a shot
