Original press I built was 100% legit. All metal, not wood. Basically as solid as what we use now, just smaller (one ski vs two).

It is all drilled for 1/2" bolts, so of which are 7" long and go through 3 layers of steel. And all the steel is 1/2" or 3/8" (legs).

And I made the legs way too complicated.

It took forever.

Let me be the first to show any form of Stoke for you! Congrats Bro! I made a press in my Senior Technology class last year in high school that was similar, I used treated wood tho, which would be different if yours was indeed plywood, but I was super happy with the way the skis came out, despite a couple last minute changes on my last day of classes before pressing, but the press turned out really well, Good Luck!

Good luck with it. Ski making is super frustrating, but highly rewarding once you figure it out.

Expect to spend double what you think it will cost.

I bet that thing deflects four inches while pressing. Don't blow up the garage.
