RIP Aaron Robinson.

Up and coming big mountain snowboarder Aaron Robinson was killed today in Chile. Only 24 years old, and already 2 North Face Masters series championships. This guy was absolutely one of the best big mountain snowboarders out there. So sad to see someone that young get taken away.

Absolute tragedy. Got the chance to shred with him and Jason last year in Chillan. He was such a thrill to watch. So full of stoke and love for both sports! Vibes to the Robinson family and every one who was close to him. RIP!

Aaron was a friend of mine and my best friends cousin...he is deeply missed and saddens my heart to the core. I still cannot believe we have lost such a good kid and a legend. His stoke for life and love of the mountains and pow pow was unsurpassed and everyone around him was better for having spent time with him. RIP arob we love ya man

Aaron had a smile that truly would spread to everyone in the room. He was such a fun loving happy person and always helpful to remind you of the splendidness of life. I will miss getting the high fives at random run-ins either from the hill or watching play music. He will be missed. SIP A-Rob.

I had the chance to ski with him and his brother in Chile last year, this is such a terrible thing to happen.

Maybe its me, but I'm getting really tired of seeing threads like this. Not because I don't care about the loss of a fellow shredder. But because it is breaking my heart to see so many athletes being hurt or killed only by doing the one thing they love more than anything else. My heart go out for his family and friends. i'm not going to say i knew ARob personally becuase i didnt but i frequently witnessed his infectious excitement and i can truly say that he has been an inspiration to me and many of my friends here in the flathead valley. My thoughts go out to his family.

Never take any moment you have for granted. Ski everyday you possibly can...and remember how lucky you are.

I had the distinct pleasure of skiing with Aaron numerous times. He had truly tapped into the joy at the root of his sport. It was an infectious thing to be around him, a leadership and encouragement that came naturally as who he was.

Miss you Arob. Thanks for all you taught us.

was he wearing a helmet? That's terrible, way too many deaths lately, but we all have to realize it is absolutely RETARDED to ski without a dome piece. You are not indestructible, and a blow to the head will kill you. No matter how good you think you are you WILL take a digger and hit your head hard at some point. Its not cool to be dead, and its a fucked up thing to put your friends and family through.
