she was crazy during the coaches sale. She wanted $100 per used jiberish piece! and $60 for a JIberish Snap Back, and she got it all for free! goodness this is a coaches sale to hook up young skiers and she is going nuts. Yea just would like to share that

lol are you kidding me? Coaches sales are the opposite of coaches hooking up kids, its coaches selling their outerwear for ridiculous prices cause the camper kids are so star struck they'd pay 100 bucks just to talk to one of them.

i bought a pair of sick rossignol gloves in 2002 at a camp of champs coaches sale for $20 canadian taht I used until last season. Pretty sure the coach hooked me up there, and I don't even remember who it was.

fuckin a can you not be a downer for once? the athletes are trying to make money, no harm in that. sometimes they will sell it above or at market price, but sometimes you really will find some awesome deals. and theres nothing bad about a kid being in awe of their favorite pro, even if you want them to feel that way.

to op, who cares? she's trying to make money, if people don't want it they won't buy it, and i guarantee she could use some extra cash. go find a different pro who is actually offering a good deal

Haha... sort of have to agree a lil... I mean, the majority if not all of your coaches probably barely scrape by and have to work summer jobs to make it through the winter, and your parents just shelled out 2000 bucks to spend a week on a glacier, so I'm not sure who should be hooking who up here.

no... i went to COC this summer and the coaches sales the coaches gave stuff away for mad cheap. max hill sold a pair of next year line afterbangs for 100 when they are well worth way more then that. i got a ton of stuff for cheap too, i guess it all depends on the coaches

Depends on the circumstances. You gotta keep in mind a lot of these coaches aren't making much money in general (esp. at Windells). Whistler is definitely a different story though, coaches make a more fair wage. They are all skiers when it comes down to it and they aren't making much money (aside from the top 10 in the industry). Kids sell Jiberish on here for ridiculous amounts of money daily, with the sole intent of buying to flip, you should make a thread about that.

Exactly. You gotta learn how to bargain. When I went to Windell's way back in the day I bought some snowpants from a snowboard coach and bargained him from $80 down to $15.

More props to Keri Herman if she finds suckers willing to pay those prices.

I don't believe Evan ever said it was a bad thing. He is simply calling it as he sees it, and guess what? He's right.

Most pro skiers who have any money to their name work construction or commercial fishing during the off season. The ones who don't need every bit of cash they can, and if that means overcharging parents (through their kids) for used ski gear, so be it. It's not immoral, its business. It's not like they are charging more than retail. With respect to the MSRP, it is still a deal. OP is essentially getting butthurt because the skier is making a hefty profit on free gear. I believe the word is "jealousy."

Keri herman you mean? And yeah, selling her used jiberish for more than the actual retail price is a bit redic. Funny thing is she had them all laying out and wasn't paying attention to well and multiple kids swiped a few pieces.
