No the stuff I use (Dr. Bronners) Doesnt overpower at all, and I get it at a funky little natural store in my town, but it might be worth a look at BBB

OMG peppermint soap is so awesome, i would reccomend it to anyone, it makes you feel so fresh after the shower, but at first it stings but you get used to it.

I had peppermint shampoo and conditioner and that stuff was amazing. It was like a light massage every morning and left me feeling cleaner than ever.
